The editor is free. Forever.

Every line of canvist (the editor, its server, every binding) is released into the public domain under the Unlicense. No licence keys, no watermarks, no per-seat editor fees. You only pay if you want canvist to run the servers for you.

Questions

What is a monthly active document?
A document with at least one sync session or API mutation in the billing month. It tracks what canvist Cloud actually spends (memory for each loaded document), and it counts the same on the web, desktop, mobile, Flutter, React Native and Lynx.
What happens when I go over?
Hobby has a hard cap: hosted features pause until the next month, and the editor never goes read-only. Paid plans warn you and bill the overage. Nobody is moved to a bigger plan automatically.
Do I need a plan to use the editor?
No. The editor, its server and every binding are free and in the public domain. Plans only pay for canvist running Sync, Convert and History for you.
Can I run it all myself?
Yes. canvist publishes the exact binary it runs, with a guide. Self-hosting is a first-class path, not a trial.
Why are these prices marked preview?
They are provisional. They will be published as final only after canvist Cloud measures real memory per document and hosting cost per MAD.
